    Default Eleiko Bars

Is there a real difference between the competition and training bars that can be discerned by a less experienced lifter?

What about the black finish bar?

Is most of the difference in the oversight that goes into the bar to make sure it lives up to quality standards?

Competition and Training bars are pretty much the same. They just finely calibrate the competition bars to a precision weight, so its consistent for world records. A training bar usually has centre knurling for back squats, but competion bars never do.

The black eleiko is a special collab with rogue or someone similar if I recall, it has less bearings in it but otherwise the same.

I still want to know how they get away with calling it a "lifetime" warranty

    Lifetime Warranty Bars

    CONDITIONS:
    • The lifetime warranty is valid for bars purchased after 1th of January 2009,
the definition of lifetime warranty is 10 years.
    • The Eleiko Bar must only be dropped on an Eleiko Platform and be loaded with Eleiko Discs.
    • The Eleiko Bar must not be left, loaded with weights, on a rack.
    • Clean the knurling on a regular basis, use the provided brush.
    • Normal wear and tear is not an argument to invoke the guarantee
PLEASE NOTE: Sharp edges can damage the chrome.

Forget the 10 year 'lifetime warranty', how many people are going to make it 10 years when

Which is an excellent reason not to bother buying from them for the warranty. Which is pretty much true for damn near anything imo.

I would never ever dream of buying an Eleiko bar if I was in the USA. So much other excellent bars to buy at a fraction of the price. If it was for a club/gym with members who were likely to compete at least at national level then I might be swayed, but otherwise nope.
