I wont know what he billed for a few days when they mail the letter of benefits to my house. So you would suggest chiropractic solutions to my back pain? or just self medicating with alcohol and drugs?

Low back manipulation has a risk rate of about 1 in 100,000 treatments, while orthopedic / neurosurgical interventions of the low back have an absolute risk rate somewhere to the tune of 1 in 10. Also, manipulation has been shown time and time again to demonstrate fairly reliable immediate relief of symptoms. If you don't have obvious trauma to the low back, manipulation might be something to consider before going to a surgeon. A chiropractor or Physical Therapist trained in manual therapy would be a good place to start.

I could point you to many articles that have demonstrated the efficacy of spinal manipulation for immediate relief of back pain, but what the fuck do I know? I'm just an anonymous poster on this board with a generic name.
