Default Frustrated with my form squat check... dammit....

    http://youtu.be/WO8LQZQJBfQ

My knees moving forward issue is better, but now I'm not hitting depth. I'm pretty sure that if I did hit depth in this video, you'd see my knees shoot forward even more than they are.

I try not to over-think things, or stress out too much about this, but I just can't seem to fix my form. I just need that "Aha!" moment. Or a good coach.

I'm squatting in boots with a very hard, 3/4" heel. Better than Chucks. Yes, real shoes are in the works.

There may not be much to say here, but any comments are appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

It looks like you have fairly long legs and like you're using a pretty narrow stance. Widening your stance may help with depth.

Aside from that, you look very upright in this video. It looks like you're trying to reach depth by ankle and knee flexion, rather than by knee/hip flexion. Try taking your stance out slightly and letting yourself sit back a bit more.

Yes I can. Loose but stretchy running pants.

Okay, after a few workouts at the same weight (215), I went back to the Chucks, thinking that if I can effing learn to squat flat-footed, it'll be so much better when I get proper shoes. Here's today's effort:

I think I see some improvement. Plus areas to keep working on.

Let me have it, and thanks for looking.

Looks like you're trying to do a highbar squat. Torso too vertical. You've got some long femurs so you're gonna have to lean over more.

Also its hard to tell with just this angle but looks like your stance might be a bit wide. Either that or you're just not shoving your knees out enough. Or a combination of both.

The first video actually looked better I think you just needed to get your knees out more and sit down between your femurs.

Sit back more and bend over more.

Yes, that's the problem--but leaning over more pushes the weight out towards my toes. Should I think about shoving my ass back, and thus be able to lean over more?

You got it. Sit back, and push your knees out while you are at it.
