Would I benefit from doing SS/TM another time?
Guys...thanks for reading, and any thoughts.
So...in a nutshell. Did 12 weeks of SS, finished up one year ago. These were my final numbers upon completion.
SQ: 315 / 3x5
DL: 315 / 1x5
PR: 115 / 3x5
BN: 205 / 3x5
All of my lifts felt good after 12 weeks. My squats felt great - I definitely felt like I could do another 20-30lbs before my first reset. However...
After week 12, I took a week off for vacation, drank my ass off...came back and my squat gains were reversed by 30+ lbs...and for the last year I've been struggling to get back to the 315 / 3x5 mark. I've done GSLP, Smolov, and recently 3 cycles of 531. All of which have included a fair amount of conditioning, and not too much food.
Current #s
M / 33 / 5'8" / 210
SQ: 3x10 / 1x9 (best max was 385 in December)
DL: 335 / 1x10 (best max was 375 in December)
PR: 135 / 1x5 (best max was 155 in January)
BN: 205 / 1x5 (Long story...bench has been struggling but was as high as 225 / 3x5)
I'm going to Italy from 5/9-5/19. When I get back I want to get my strength shit together.
Would doing a cycle of SS, then transitioning into TM be a wise idea? I've always had the lingering feeling that I fucked up by taking a week off/boozing, which ultimately stopped my LP well short of what I could have achieved.
Right now it's either SS--->TM--->531 when I get back, or just continuing 531 and doing Boring But Big for 3 months and standard 531 the rest of the year.
Either way, I need to get my strength shit together. Lingering around 3 plates on Squat for a year is indicative of fucking up...and I want to un-fuck my shit and work my way up towards a 500 SQ/500 DL/300 Bench/200 Press
Thoughts?

OK...seems like I was a little long winded and not very clear.
Do you guys think I could benefit from doing SS over again (at higher weights...say 245 on the squat), transitioning into Texas Method, before finally moving on to 531?

Unless i'm missing it, you don't say what happened between december when you had your maxes and now. Even in 5/3/1 you should be hitting some PRs in 5 months, no ?
