Maybe you just arm-pulled the bar that last time or something.

You still need to grip the bar, even with straps. Are you doing that?

Have you tried hook grip with chalk as Tom suggested?

I have started alternating and that seems fine on my last session. I think I have that under control now.

My second concern is the bar traveling forward. I used to be able to pull it towards me, however it seems to feel like I am also doing a slight crunch and pulling myself slightly out of thoracic extension. I will post a video this Monday . Thanks.

Ok instead of starting a new thread I just thought I would just post my squat here as well as other lifts, despite not filming my dead lift yet.

Yesterday I was working on my squat form with 5 sets of 185x5 plus a few warm up sets. This is one of my last sets of 185. I realize my bar isn't traveling in a line but don't know what to do about it. The bar seems to be rolling up my back and also the path is moving forward regardless of the bar rolling.
I bench 225 as my work weight and can now dead 315 so my squat really sucks since I keep having to reset it.

Will post dead lift tom hopefully if I see some one I know in the gym to film. Thanks for any tips.

Yeah, it even looks like you're doing a crunch. That was terrible. I hope somebody who is very good at coaching comes by, but if I were there in person, I'd be yelling CHEST UP CHEST UP CHEST UP at you. Like, you can see in the video the moment you start to do a "crunch". Have you tried the "superman" drill from the book to learn what your back is supposed to feel like?

I guess this should be in the technique section.

Well my back is in extention the whole time. I am not rounding my back. I must be leaning forward for depth, or sitting back to far and leaning forward to keep my balance. I used to squat decently . I will try to squat with out trying so hard for my next video.

Do slight bicep tears heal by themselves or do they just stay that way till possibly surgery? My bicep still hurts on the concentric portion of pressing movements.

The plates almost completely obscure you in the squat video. Please revideo from a rear oblique angle. You'll probably get more responses to this in the technique forum.

Yeah thanks tom, I took a new video. But I will start a more pertinent thread.

As far as my bicep still hurting on the concentric portion of pressing movements, will that likely heal on its own if I take it easy. To describe the location, It hurts an inch to the left and inch or so up from where they would draw blood. I hurt it when Deadlifting with that hand underhand, as well as my shoulder a little. Thanks.

Am I right in thinking that having tge underhand gripped hand narrow twists the arm outward more than having it an in or two wider?
