    Default Squat Form Check 245x8

    Hi guys

Was wondering if you can let me know how my form looks. Been working on it.

    Thanks!

In the event that you are trying to do a low-bar squat as taught by Mark Rippetoe, you are doing it all wrong. However I am going to assume you are purposely doing in a high-bar squat.

If that is the case, then you look good. Good depth, decent rebound out of the hole, and you're not doing a good-morning on the way up. Even your last rep looked good, which is unusual. Most of us have form breakdown on our last reps, especially when doing 8.

Are you doing 5/3/1? If not, what program are you doing that has 8 rep sets?

I relied on goblet squats at first to learn the squat form which kind of led to me being more comfortable with high bar form. However I would like to move towards low bar so I can move more weight.

I'm running madcow 5x5. The set right before this was 335x3 (a PR for me). I've been increasing by 10lbs pretty steadily weekly.

Didn't film the 335 bc I needed my music lol

    Thanks
