Where do you lift in Lexington? Almost all of my extended family is from there or Richmond, and so I happen to be in the area sometimes. My cousin took me to the YMCA once but it was pretty lacking and I don't remember it having a platform, squat rack, etc.

Also please tell me that you are a Wildcat and not a Cardinal. Please.

Right now I lift at the Beaumont YMCA - -it is a newer, nicer facility. It is not an iron heavy gym - but it does have a power cage, squat rack, bumpers and a cushioned floor. You may have gone to the YMCA downtown -- it is quite a bit older . .I've never been nor know what they have. Not too much longer and we will be slingin plates in my garage - - my kids are looking forward to it.

You know, Brian, when you read this on a phone that doesn't show the embedded video and all you see is the text you really have no idea of the context of the quote. I was all twisted up on this post until I read it on a computer and saw the Chappelle vid. Damn, that dude is a riot but perhaps a mention like, "for you iPhone dolts who can't see the YouTube clip that everyone else can see, there's an hilarious video attached so don't get your undies in a knot" will quell any possible flamage.

Your new rack looks like the real deal. The man cave is coming along, all you need is a flat screen and an old sofa and you're all set!

It is coming along well . . the wife is 100% on board. I think she likes the idea of me and the boys being outside and downstairs vs traveling across town to train. She and I are going to work together on it today - despite the 100 degree temperature. The garage has not been used, nor will ever be used as a garage. I am thinking I am going to frame in the garage door opening and put a double door in - -I think it would be cool to find one like at a gym or grocery - - a double door that you see at the front of a store. Wait until I see a place gettting torn down . .put a sign up that says "WFAC East" - just me, the kids, dogs and a few squirrels would ever see it - - I think it would give it that old school gym look . . just a thought . .
