This is not meant to be a smartass question--I am legitimately curious/ignorant: Do you have any specific reasons for the Press over the Bench, or is it just preference?

You want to go to a powerlifting meet? There are lots of those without coming here.

I may come even if I don't get into the meet--again, I was just curious. Thanks.

No singlets allowed? But the singlet is the universal sign of the strong!

I kid, really what does it matter but I am curious about the reasoning behind it.

    Remember folks, no crossfit shirts.

"The lifter’s costume shall consist of a collarless t-shirt and shorts of a stretch-type
material. The shirt sleeves cannot cover the elbows and the shorts cannot extend below
the top of the knees. Both garments must be clean and free of graphics of a nature that
the average spectator would find offensive. The t-shirt shall always be worn neatly
    tucked into the shorts."

Thanks Mark--but the first time I get to take a look on the forums in a while and I am getting busted--without even posting a particularly idiotic post.
