Thread: missed days on advance novice

Default missed days on advance novice

I'm going to have to miss Friday and then Monday on the advanced novice program. What weight should I use when come back Wednesday? It doesn't seem beneficial to have a recovery day if there is nothing to recover from.

    squat 330x3x5

Your instincts are correct. Squat heavy Weds, light on Friday (maybe) and then restart normal routine on Monday

Thanks. Do you think I can increase the weight after the break, or just use the last heavy weight on Wed? My diet probably won't be very good. I find that people are disgusted when a guest in their house drinks half a gallon of milk in a day.

You will probably be able to go up in weight. A missed week isn't that long and is sometimes actually a good thing, especially if you have been training really hard for many weeks in a row.

To your other point......I don't see that drinking a half gallon of milk a day is a big deal provided it isn't THEIR milk. Not sure that someone will be disgusted by you saying the following:

"I've just started a very demanding strength & conditioning program that requires a high caloric intake. I find that drinking milk makes it easier to get in all the extra calories. Do you guys mind if I store a couple of gallons in your fridge for the weekend?"

Thats not so weird is it??
