You hate that? My mouth is watering and I just ate a steak, chicken, naan and a salad.

No. The food was fantastic!! Smoked them ribs to perfection, I should have been more specific, I was feeding on the hatred for the 300lb deadlift I was gonna try. Although steak and chicken and salad is awesome too. What is naan

It's an oven baked flatbread. You usually get it with Indian meals (as far as I know). The chicken I had was in some sort of Indian sauce, buttered chicken I think. I normally have sweet potato hash but I ran out so I used naan as my carb.

    Go nail those deadlifts :-)

    7/13
    Squat 280.5
    Bench 185
    Deadlift 300

Added a little more to everything this time. Session was heavy but nothing got real close to failing. 3rd set of squats actually felt easier than first 2 sets but that was probably adrenaline. Deadlift wasn't as much of a struggle as I thought it might be. Glad I didn't psych myself out. I plan on not having a single thing to do this weekend so the rest will be great.

    7/16
    Squat 289
    Press 157
    Clean 146

Presses felt super strong today. Cleans winded me but still had strength in the tank. First set of squats were hell, then next two went like clockwork. No aches or pains to really speak of, except it seemed like my quads wanted to cramp up in the hour prior to lifting. It wasn't a problem though. Reward: strip steak, two small baked potatoes and corn with a tankard of milk. Feeling beast mode right now

    7/18
    Squat 295
    Bench 190
    Deadlift 305

Getting under the first workset of squats felt like a bitch. After that it was much easier. I have a decision to make as far as my strength goals and weight loss. Focus more on one or the other. Ill decide on Friday.

pretty excited about a 300 lb squat tomorrow. Its a PR for me I'm sure as in high school i only weighed 140 lb and weight training for the wrestling team pretty much only center around burnouts on machine stacks or pull ups / push ups with only the occasional barbell squat put in to make us feel better about ourselves. this will mean that all my lifts will be approximately lbs from my goal of 500 DL 400 Squat 300 bench. some a little less like dead lift, and bench a little more, but still i can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure ill have to switch to a intermediate program WAY before i make it to those goals, so i guess i need to start doing some research on them. Although none of my SS lifts have i even started Micro loading, or have i missed a rep yet on any single workout. Not sure what that means yet so if anyone that happens to actually read my logs reads this and has any insight I would love to hear it.

Heard of people using Jack3d before workouts so I bought a equivalent thing called C4 from GNC today. I'm hoping that it will help for that first set energy. Also picked up some quality protein instead of the Walmart stuff I've been using. Ill be using both but I'm hoping that the quality stuff with BCAA's will help me from feeling as run down. Pan on using the cheap stuff to keep my general protein amount up and the quality stuff for just post workout shake. I'll rate today's workout and subsequent feeling related to what I've been feeling. I know a lot of people on these forums aren't real big supplement takers or enthusiasts but I'm sure it's better than nothing

    Squat 300. Fuck yeah
    Press 162
    Clean 151

Beast of a workout. The C4 made a big difference, but I must read the label better. 2 scoops was definately too much. Should have started with 1 and ramped it up like the label said because I was jittery. First set of squats wasn't heavy like normal though, I just had a hard time relaxing between sets to recover. Lesson learned. The new protein after workout is mixed with water and is much easier to take after workout without a bloated milk feeling. Tasted good too. I need to video my cleans I think I'm arm pulling them too much, also had a slight discomfort in my left elbow when overhead pressing which persisted through cleans. Not a pain per se

Nice job on the 300 squat! We are about the same size, age, training history, etc - although you out OHP me pretty badly. I'm shooting for 400,300,500 also, at around 280. I just finished my 1st week after taking a month or so off. Hopefully I can catch up with you soon.
