It's a good thing Rip's DL method lets you accomplish all of this without wearing slacks that crush your nuts.

Or, at least, I imagine this is a good thing.

    A) Contrary to rumor, I do not have nuts, so I'm just speculating here.

    B) Who am I to judge anyone out there who might enjoy a good nut-crushing?

For the benefit of Spar and everyone else finding tghemselves not in posession of bollocks, be aware they obey gravity. When you bend over, the balls dangle straight down, so the tightness across the seat of the pants doesn't affect the plums, which will nestle in the lower zip/crotch stiching area and the pockets-induced slack material as it pulls across.

I wonder if you have to use flat-front or if pleated pants work just as well?

For the lifting I mean, not for the anti-nut-crushing. As an owner of a (semi) matching pair myself, I find I agree with jon cowie's assessment of the nestling qualities of said bollocks.

Dave Tate comes up with some funny stuff, his April fools ad this year was great.

I don't see how this applies. There is no cue in Rip's setup as to how high or low your hips should be other than having a second pair of eyes or just drilling it consistently.

What about not lowering your butt, when you get in the chest up positions. Seems pretty accurate to me
