    Default Deadlift form check

    Coach Rip,

Below is a video of me deadlifting 135lbs for 5 reps:

I notice that my lumbar spine is slightly flexed, in spite of my ability to extend it in normal anatomic position. What is the source(s) of this problem? How can I fix it? Recently I started doing back extensions, in hopes of improving my lumbar extension. Can they solve my problem?

    Thank you.

Use less weight or try harder maintaining form. You HAVE TO be able to make your body do the right thing, if it means using less weight, fine..

Also.. gain more weight if you havenīt started gaining already.

Pay attention to the bar path and positioning in the beginning / during the lift. ( just a side note )

    Good Luck.
