Thread: Anyone up for a book review - Lascek's TM Part 2?

Default Anyone up for a book review - Lascek's TM Part 2?

Wondering if anyone has picked this up and given it a read yet? I am curious if he offers additional discussion around reduced volume on volume days (after saying on his site that he wasn't a fan of 5x5 on volume days). I'd like to buy the book primarily for this reason, so want to make sure it is touched upon in an useful way.

JL, 70sbig.com - "Several people have asked and informed me that a lot of fellas are wanting an elaboration on what I meant when I referenced not being a fan of 5×5 on a TM. This isn’t a new concept, and I’ve mentioned it on this site a few times, but I can understand the confusion. I didn’t make a huge deal about wanting to decrease the volume in the Volume Day of a TM in the first e-book, but I did talk about it. I even gave examples of Chris doing 3×5. I purposely didn’t make a huge deal about it because it wasn’t the focus of the book. It is, however, the focus of the second e-book."

I'm tempted to get it, got part 1, but $30 for part 2 is out of my price range.

honestly, i'm not sure there are many people on this site that need to worry about advanced TM

there might not even be a single person who's ready for that

Most people don't need 3-4 week periodization. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad idea.

yeh thats all discussed in detail, intensity schemes, split routine and more accessory lifts. Then he goes more advanced with ladders for volume and ascending sets... Its good.

Yeh its expensive considering the PP hardback price but then if you consider it wont sell in large volume and it comes in a PDF which I've shared with others already. When you purchase it you can download it 5 times in a 24hr frame... if you have any mates....
