When I started "working" out I weighed 183 pounds. 18 months later when I started serious barbell work I weighed 163. I now weigh 183. It's not the same 183 I'll tell you what.

People are so weight obsessed and it took me 40+ years to realize that being in shape means having muscle mass first. But today even the boys want to be skinny and skinny is deemed as healthy. Obviously everyone on this board knows that's BS, but there's a lot of unlearning to be had, especially for younger folks who have grown up in even more anorexic times than the older folks here...
