We already know that resistance training can increase bone mineral density and thickness, even in people into their 70s. Perhaps if the bone is already growing quickly - because of adolescence, or healing from a fracture - this increase will be even more rapid, as the body is primed to grow bone?

I'd love to hear Sullydog's thoughts on this case.

And we also know that bone is lost very rapidly and dramatically without loading (bed rest, paralysis, zero g. For a dramatic example: mouse+/- botox 21 days after botox where partial function & partial loading was regained by 14 days). BBL is a case of getting out of the rapid loss situation, back into "normal" loading and then augmenting it by forcing it to adapt to additional loading and muscle development from training.

I think Brian ought to write an article for the front page. Perhaps one of the MD types could collaborate? I think it could be as important as the Big Medicine article.

We'll ask him about that. When I get back. Remind me.
