    Default Buying the Farm Programming

So, I bought a farm, literally. 40 acres of hay and horses. I'm keeping my day job so this should be interesting. I think power lifting will have to go for awhile....maybe 4 months or so....unless you guys have some great ideas. Between getting the house ready to lease and all the other crapola associated with moving, I think I will cancel my gym membership. Once I get resettled, I will build a Rippetoe rack, some weights, and a bar and put it in one of the out buildings. See you guys for a while.

Pick up a newborn foal across your shoulders. Walk it up the mountain. When you get to the top drink some water from the lake. Then, walk back down down the mountain with the foal. Do this every day. Drink lots of milk.

    You can't spare 30-60 min 3 times a week?

Make an obstacle course, with balance beams, monkey bars or jungle gyms, tie a fat rope to a high tree and climb it, and flip large rubber tires. You could also do hill sprints or just run in your farm. You have a farm! Do farmer's walks. You probably also have large enough sheds or buildings in the area for a spacious home gym. Go make some large stones, like atlas stones. Do strong man type stuff, or dinosaur training stuff, odd object lifting, log lifting. You could set aside an area of your farm for that, but make it larger than you think you'd need.

I've a 10 acre "hobby" farm. Between my full time job, kids, and work on the farm, there is little time to workout. I workout twice a week in the garage with my homebuilt squat rack. The farm work will keep you in shape too...

People always say they can't make time but it's really easy to find an hour 3 times a week.

I get up at 245 on the days I work(12 hour shifts) so that I can get a workout in on those days. You can spare a little time to bang out some worksets.

I never said you can't make time, I meant it isn't easy. I work out twice a week because I need the extra recovery time.
