Heh. twice now i typed up an answer to this thread and then deleted it before i posted because i'm pissed off that you're messing w/ the study. I'm putting this here as a note to myself to not do it again.

How am I messing with the study? I am making a genuine attempt to lose some fat. It may be in a rush, but I am trying none the less.

You said you weren't doing what you were supposed to do.

Anyhow, in 3 weeks i think your best bet is to do a (modified) PSMF.
    breakfast casin + water
lunch your meal 1 or meal 2
    post workout : whey+water and a banana
    dinner: casein + water

assuming those shakes are 2 scoops, with the meal, will put you at 150 -200 g a day. it won't support lifting every day but with your timescale and considering you are not an untrained 120lbs guy fat loss is more likely to make a difference.
The two days before your scan carbo load and drink a decent (but not excessive) amount of water. This will get you a good 5-10 lbs of lean mass over your low carb weight.

Edit: and if you're really hungry or are dying for lack of cals add a "meal 1" or "meal 2" type meal in the evening. Oh and maybe throw in a cheat meal or two every week if you're going to do it for more than a couple of weeks.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I have just realised I have been making a major blunder;

What happens if I consume too much fructose?

Most of the carbohydrates we eat are made up of chains of glucose. When glucose enters the bloodstream, the body releases insulin to help regulate it. Fructose, on the other hand, is processed in the liver. To greatly simplify the situation: When too much fructose enters the liver, the liver can't process it all fast enough for the body to use as sugar. Instead, it starts making fats from the fructose and sending them off into the bloodstream as triglycerides.
I have been using solely FRUIT as my PWO insulin spiking agent. FUUCCCKK! turns out fructose doesn't even trigger insulin.

The whey triggers insulin release pretty well. A steak is like something w/ GI 70... as far as insulin goes so whey (which will hit your blood faster because it is small and powdered and has no fat to slow things down ) will be even higher.

(but i still think you're eating WAY too much... at least just discard that "big meal"... what you list as PWO has a fair amount of carbs already)

Your OP makes it very clear that this is not the case:

If it's truly just for your own entertainment, you wouldn't be fucking with the study to try to get in for the end of study rescan.

Trying to accomplish some fat loss for the study is what I am trying to achieve, for my own satisfaction. I am not getting paid, nor will I get in trouble if I fail. In fact if I fail I am still useful to the data to the study.
