So my eight year old yesterday says, "look a blue moon," which I thought referred to the bluish tint from the evening sky. Me: "It only looks blue bc . . . " And then he says, oh, wait, it's the first of the month, so it can't be a blue moon. Me: "hugh?" Him: "A blue moon is the second blue moon in a month, so if it would have happened a few days ago, it would have been a blue moon. But anyway, I forgot that the next blue moon is in August." Me: "look, a squirrel."
