    Is this second pull contact at the top you are refering to, the 'bang'/bar rattling by hitting against the thighs?

    If it is, I notice that this guy has a very good starting position, a good vertical bar path, and really does minimise the bar banging, the only main flaw I can see in his clean is that he cuts his second pull short:

    Funny, when I used him as an example, I was told (not by you, obviously) that if I thought that was a "vertical pull" I must be blind.
