I live in Chicago also. Do you train at a gym? I'm having a challenging time finding a good gym that isn't too far away from me on the north west side of the city.

I train in my basement.

Whereabouts are you on the northwest side? I'm in Old Irving Park, near Pulaski and Irving Park Road. There's the Irving Park YMCA near me. I've never been there, but I believe Bill Starr trained there at one point. I'd consider that a good endorsement, although it may have changed since his time.

I'm actually not far from you at all. I'm near Belmont and Cicero. I had a couple of workout sessions at the Y in Irving Park. They have some decent equipment but not well organized. People leave the plates all over the place. Today I actually just found a gym called Conviction Fitness on Western and Montrose. 2 platforms and 3 racks, rower, and prowler and other non traditional training items. Pretty happy with the find.
