Doctor wasnt sure, but nothing malignant. Thanks for the concern guys.

Sorry for a bad thread, Rip.

I won't post again until spring when I can actually DTFP without losing my scholarship (weight class). I'm saving up, working two jobs right now so next year I can make it to a seminar. Will you be back to MD in the future?

Okay. You might be wondering how he knows it's nothing malignant if he's not sure what it is, but you're probably not.

White blood count came back normal along with the lymphocyte levels. No irregularities in the bloodwork. Also lymph nodes in other parts of the body arent noticeably swollen.

He's referred me to a specialist in ear nose throat but assured with my bloodwork it's not malignant. He wanted to prescribe a fluorquinolone, assuming its in the sinuses, but I won't take that since he couldn't diagnose for sure.

My mom was diagnosed with a "back muscle strain" for three months, until she finally called me (three months ago) see what she could do to make it feel better. After talking with her for 5 minutes about it, I knew it was metastatic lung cancer. I sent her back to her provider to demand imaging. Fucking sure enough, radiographs demonstrated a large tumor in the left lung and sclerotic lesions in the ribs and in T4, T5, and T6. Subsequent biopsies confirmed adenocarcinoma, and given the distant metastasis, she was staged at 4 and told to get her personal affairs in order. All this, and yet, they weren't going to image her and her provider said she would have never suspected cancer. Moral of the story, if a provider can't tell you WHAT something is, make sure they can tell you what it isn't and why.

Did you get tested for the Epstein-Barr virus? I had a lot of similar symptoms, strep throat like 6 times in one year, overall shitty-fucked-sick all the time. Doc finally said I had mono, and it took me probably over a year to feel more than 90% better.
