None of us know the details of the case though. article contains very little information. The court may have been fair to grant the "boys" discretion.

No, there are plenty of instances where someone will take a plea deal even if they are innocent. There is frequently still a question if they did it.

I almost posted this after our daughter told me about it yesterday and decided to have a good night's sleep and some deep breaths before doing so. A sterling example of the so called legal system at work.

Guys plead out, which was intelligent, since they photographed themselves assaulting her, and then shared said pictures with other people.
There's very little question that they are guilty.
