Vacation - Programming a Recovery Segment
I am going on vacation starting mid-week this week for a couple weeks. That means I will be missing my intensity workout this week and next week, and my volume day for 2 weeks.
While on vacation, I will have access to weights but at lighter loads of between 250-300 lbs for a couple of sessions. My goal would be to turn this time into an active recovery segment in my current TM program without incurring a set back in my current program.
I am currently on TM with the following template (weight in lbs):
M - volume: squat (305x5x5), bench/press (210/145x5x5)
W - recovery: squat, bench/press
F - intensity: squat (345x1x5), bench/press, deadlift (370x1x5)
If I wanted to program this 2 week period as a recovery segment, how would you structure it? The 2 workouts will need to be on the Sundays.
Just squat, press/bench, deadlift for sets of 5 on both days with a medium weight.
