How I defend Paleo is that it works for me and it has worked for other people that were actually ill beforehand. Will eating meat, fruit, and vegetables for 30 days kill you? No, but everyone wants to have a fucking debate about everything on the internet. I like Robb Wolf because he said, "Just do it for a while and see how it works." For me my N=1 experiment worked just fine. So for you it didn't. I have found my mentors as it were. For training it's one of the guys I work with, Rip, Dan John, and Jim Wendler. For nutrition it's Robb Wolf. I haven't been doing it long enough to have the experience of the first three and I'm not going to spend the time and effort on the nutrition side. They haven't steered me wrong yet so I'm sticking with them. However the funny thing is that you did it for a year and decided it didn't work for you. I can't imagine doing something for a year and not making the progress I want to.
This is an example of being misled. My old boss is bulking right now. He posts updates about how he is eating 10 $1 tacos in one sitting, 6 test pills and bcaa's and remaining ripped, gaining size and keeping just under a 2x bw pull. Now thats clear fucking misleading information.
i assume you mean that he doesn't mention one of those elements of his routine. Otherwise i don't see how it's misleading.
You think a guy can eat utter junk food, massive amounts of carbs all day and remain lean as hell and continue putting on muscle? I don't believe you can without a little more than just crap test pills. He is body builder ripped.
Edit. I guess my view of this is biased as I know him.

I have no idea... no experience w/ that kind of stuff. There are certainly teenagers who can eat like that and stay ripped so... maybe? And if he's already admitting to test then why would he lie about other things ? To misdirect his enemies ? (and if he just works as a trainer mgr at a gym how much money would he invest in sups anyway? For pros it presumably pays off, but for hobbyists ? )
