And what do you mean by cut? Like for me to lose weight? I just tried to do 50:50 and wiggled with the carbs to see if I'm gaining any weight. I found using 300g of carbs on my backloads is enough to stay the same weight-wise.
If your goal is to lose weight, I'd suggest not backloading every day. Only post-WO and the second consecutive day off(on which you consume a bit less carbs at night). Another thing I might add is that you don't need to worry about fat intake on backload days, just be 50:50 pre-WO and let the fat come on your backloads but don't let it be too much. Just try to get the daily protein requirement throughout the day.
And again the typical calories in calories out approach doesn't directly apply here. Don't worry about it as long as you're in the guidelines of the protocol.
