    Post Swimming Program

Hi Andy, just wondering if you are still going to release a book/ebook on programming starting strength for swimmers.
    http://startingstrength.com/resource...light=swimming

I used to swim competively at a state level in Australia and I stopped about 2.5years ago. At the moment I am currently following the BBT3 LP programming and progress just starting to slow (Squat 3 x 5 280).

I also find it strange that I struggle with the bench (3 x 5 175lbs) and press (3 x 5 115lbs) already macro loading, when all I done for 8 years of my life was swim. Started embarrassingly low.
I think back now and wonder how much better I could have done with a bit of strength under my belt.

From your experience what sort of stats (main lifts) in the weight room would you think is ideal for male 50 - 100m sprinters compared with 200 - 400m or even 1500m events?

Thanks and my apologies for the long winded post,
    Luke

I want to, yes. Time is not on my side. Working on some solutions to pull myself out of my business a little bit more so that I can have a little more time for outside projects.

I don't have any numbers for that......any progression upward in strength will be helpful. Sorry for the vagueness. I will say that, of course, the extra strength has the most carryover for the shorter distances.

Yeah no worries. Good luck with it all.
    Thanks for the reply.

    Luke.
