Default Increasing weight on Texas Method

I have searched the hell out of the forums looking for an answer. How much weight should one add to the bar each week on the Texas Method? In PPST, in states and shows to add 5 lbs to Monday and Friday's squat. It states that one might add 2lbs to the press and bench press each week. Since the press and the bench press alternate for volume and intensity days every other week, how much would you add to each exercise? How much would one add to the bar if they favored one of the presses in their routine: say, using the bench every week for volume and intesity and doing heavy presses 3x3? or vica versus?

Volume days will be 5 lbs to squats, microloading for presses/benches/cleans....most of the time. Intensity day will vary depending on what type of set and rep scheme you are doing.

Your response got me wondering regarding intensity day progression. Might you try adding more weight to attempts if you are rotating between 5s, triples, and singles? Whereas if you were going to run 5s, get close to a stall and just staircase your reps down to singles as you exhaust a rep range, you might take smaller jumps?

To put it more to the point, would you rather take the largest jump that you could make and move quickly through rep ranges or would you rather just take a 5 pound jump every week and make the progression last longer before you have to start over?

I generally don't do more than 5 lb jumps anyways so it doesn't really matter.

Don't lose sight of the fact that the goal of TM is to make progress on the intensity day, and not become a volume bitch. Sometimes you might run the same weight on your 5x5 for a few weeks

That's been my standard, but I was just wondering if at times I wasn't being aggressive enough. Thanks for the reply!
