Definitely do 5 lbs - that's actually 300 lbs in 20 weeks or 600 lbs in 40 weeks while diong SS (+15 per week).

There's no reason to continue doing 10 lbs. Being greedy will just make you stall quickly, be forced to reset and work your way back up in 5's anyway. Save yourself the trouble and drop to 5s now.

Hell I think most people drop to 5's at like 200 lbs lol. Besides you've already failed a weight, are you really that eager to continue missing weights?

Eat more PWO, less prior. Overall more on training less on recovery

I will not fail it today man. This is so weird but I actually imagine that I'm that russian dude. Malanichev or something like that. Quiet as hell, but squats like a beast. When I imagine myself as him, it kinda works. haha

Off to squat my 285lbs!!! Let's go.

Dude, I fucking killed it. Slowed down a bit on the last reps but i kept moving and pushed that bar till lockout.

Corrie, it was great man. She's starting to bend a little when I pick it up. Only slightly but it makes me feel more badass. The mind is powerful as shit. Me and my buddy keep yelling the cues to each other. "Knees out", "Push up with the hips", "Tight!", "Keep it tight all the way", shit like that. people must thing we're nuts. But it helps.

I don't know about you guys, but when I'm under that bar I don't hear music or anything. All I hear is my buddy behind me yelling the cues and I get tunnel vision to the point on the ground where I look. Then I talk to myself.

I tell my buddy as part of my mind prep "this is how you squat", "textbook squat" etc etc. Obviously he knows I'm just psyching up but it works. Then in my mind I think "smooth, up and down, knees, tight, breath". "IT'S FUCKING LIGHT", "It weighs as much as my little weiner dog, squat it".

That's funny because all I can think when I'm under the bar squatting is... "HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKING HEAVY!" I guess it helps me get psyched up more to know that the bar could probably kill me if I don't grind out the rep properly. Gotta get the adrenaline rush somehow. Grats on getting your set btw.

Not really. I used to back off 300lbs at the end of a cycle and work back up 20lbs per week for about 8-10 weeks, then 10lbs for another 10 weeks and then 5lbs for as long as I could keep it going. The weight isn't the issue, its making sure you take a good running start and do what it takes to keep the momentum.

    Nice. NOW you'll make progress.

Dammit. Now you got into my head.
And I feel so alone in here here here here here.......!

Trust me AnimusImmodicus, if you tell yourself it's light then it works. fuck the weight on your back, don't think about it. For me at least, I focus on the form. I even tell that to myself loud while I squat. "Form form form", and my buddy yells it too. hahaha.

Oldster, wise words man. Thank you.

Tomorrow is 290lbs. Let's get psyched up early!!!!
