Grand66 here is my last 1rm attempt. Note how I drop my hips too low.

What do you mean too low? I thought that on a sumo the angle between your thigh and calf should be about 90 degrees with an upright torso? This is why I always though (wrongfully it seems) that a sumo is just legs and no low back like a conventional?

    LOL!

Who is Kenny Croxdale, why does he type in all blue, and why does he not understand basic physics?

An interesting picture of Ed Coan:

What are the best exercises for improving the start of a sumo deadlift?
What kind of anthropometry makes sumo favorable from a competitive standpoint?
    Wide or narrow sumo?
What factors going into optimizing sumo stance width, toe position, etc?

With the angles on that photo of Coan you could mistaken for thinking he was pulling conventional with the back angle.

Do sumo deadlifts but load the bar with 35s or smaller. Throw a couple chains on there if you want. Brutal, but it carried over to both my sumo and conventional deadlift.

after your working sets? Getting the fucker off the floor is definitely my weak point. Sometimes it feels like minutes have passed before it starts moving.

I used it as my main deadlift exercise for a few weeks. Everything felt easier once I switched back to normal pulls.
