Default Texas method in the summer time?

Hello Andy. I have been follwing the Starting Strength routine for more than a year, half of that time as an advanced novice. My stats are:
    Age:36
    Height 5' 5"
    Bodyweight 178.
    SQ: 277 5x5.
    BP: 200 5x5
    Press:132 5x2
    DL: 252 1x5 (ovehand grip)
Although these are far from optimal I believe there are some gains to be made but I was also hoping to use the Texas Method. But would that be a good choice given the fact that summer is near and temperature can be anywhere between 91 and 104? Humidity can be also very high and inside the gym there is no air conditioning which makes it worse and it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep some extra calories which is a prerequisite for a routine as taxing as Texas Method is. Should I continue as an advanced novice or should I opt for the intermediate stage at this time of the year?

You're a novice until you're not. Try getting weight up to 195
