How often do you do Chin-Ups nowadays and what has been your approach to training them over the years?

What makes you think I'm good at chinups? I do them once a week.

He must have seen the youtube video, where you did 18 chin ups the night before you had shoulder surgery.

    Very infrequently.

I'm not impressed by 18 chins.

Stop being so modest, Rip. I weigh half as much as you do and can only do 11 bodyweight Chins and 3 Weighted Chins with 45lbs.

What reps and sets do you do for Chins?

But you're a pussy. I do a combination of things, including multiple sets to failure, multiple sets across, and high-volume (20+) sets of 5, 6, or 7.

I always picture this is how you'd reply to your children.

'Johnny pushed me and now I'm sad!'

    'Well son, that's because you're a pussy.'

I can usually only do about 3 BW chins. If I'm going to do a lot of chins, say sets to failure or sets across, should I do them kipped or strict on the machine that provides support to my BW (I use 50 lbs)?
