    Good morning,

I enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee every morning. I also take a vitamin/greens mixture with my whey protein shake I make in the morning. I've read that if I were to drink my supplement, and then drink coffee within 2 hours, the coffee would inhibit the absorption of any nutrients.

    Is this true?

My "mixture" consists of: Whey Protein, "Greens", and Creatine, with either a banana or blueberries.

    Thank you for your time.

    No, this is not true.

To the extent one trusts epidemiology, nearly every single epidemiological study on coffee/tea finds a positive health benefit association with the exception of anxiety and arrhythmias. Coffee and tea (without all the extra fluff) are NOT inherently evil. I'm not sure where this notion came from but it has no basis at our current level of ignorance. I'd wager there are more health benefits to the coffee than there are to the greens supplement.

Am I wasting my time with the greens supplement?

I regularly eat fruits, vegetables, chicken & fish. I take creatine & whey protein on a regular basis as well.

Wasting your time? Nah. Wasting money? Sure, but I could think of worse ways to waste it.
