    I'm having some trouble getting my overhead squat, which is hindering the development of my snatch. Every rep right now I power, then try to overhead squat it.

    Today I worked up to 150, and an ugly 155, but missed the overhead squats on both.

    Anything you guys recommend in terms of assistance work to improve this? I think this is largely ankle flexibility but not sure.

    Post a video when you get a chance. How much were you able to overhead squat before you started missing?

    Will do... I started missing at about 145... barely got it. I'm not snatching again until Sunday when I will be working up to a max so I will video that session.

    When you get to your second or third warmup on Sunday (90-110lbs) stay in the bottom of the snatch for like 30 seconds before standing up. Focus on shrugging your traps in to the bar when your in the bottom. Repeat that same warmup for another set with the 30s-1min hold.
