    Default anterior ankle bone spur

    Hi coach

The xray image of my left ankle shows a bony spurring of the anterior tibial plafond and states I'm in risk of anterior ankle impingement.
This might explain why my squat is asymmetric
So my question is, is the chance of success of the surgery good? Or is it too risky to remove?

    Thanks.

I have no idea. I am not an ankle surgery expert.

Sorry for asking such questions. But have you had trainees with this experience?
If it was you, would you take the surgery?

    Cheers.

I've had no experience with it, so I don't know.

Stay away from excessive dorsiflexion and you will be fine. You may have to modify your squat technique to allow your shins to be slightly more vertical.

Surgery will only benefit you in that you will have a sweet scar on your ankle and make someone like me plenty of money in rehabilitation.
