Setup looks good with your back in extension. Nice work with that. Now, see if you can make the jump happen faster. You are slow around the hip. Also, stick your landing. Don't go for a walk with the barbell on each rep.

Jump happen faster is different than jump sooner, I'm assuming. Should I think, pull and jump? I think I may be operating with the "pull then jump" mindset. Are you at all concerned with the forward progress of my jump? Or, should I just take it one step at a time.

You are correct. Do not jump sooner. You do, however, need to make the bar move faster as you jump. Right now, the jump happens at too leisurely of a pace. If acceleration peaks when the bar touches the hip, it needs to have started accelerating before that. I don't notice you jumping forward consistently. I do notice you going for a walk backwards when you catch the bar, however.

Not bad. Those are much improved. Now, see if you can keep your arms locked for an instant longer. You have just a hint of an early arm bend.

With the arm bend, tonight I tried to fight it by really forcing the internal arm rotation. It felt like I was moving slower. Does that make sense.

Sorry, I do not have video.

Tough to say. If you kept your arms straight so long that it arrested the upward trajectory of the barbell, that could slow things down. Normally, when people keep their arms straight, cleans and snatches feel faster since the force is transferred more efficiently to the bar.

Sorry about the audio. I caught the Sirius station right at a bumper. Copyrights can be a bitch.

Work on being a little more patient. You are bending the arms a touch early. Finish your jump with straight arms. Try and hit this position:

By the time you finish your jump and come to full extension, your arms are bent and the bar is a good deal higher and not in contact with your body. Shrug up hard against the bar as you rack it at the top.
