    Hi Jordan,

Thanks for providing this resource. Long time lurker, first time poster here.

    Stats
    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 195 (up from 175 ~mid February)
    Bodyfat: ~18% (guestimate)
    Waist: 33.5" (up from 32.5" ~mid Feb)

    Squat: 325x5
    Press: 135x5
    Bench: 217.5x5
    Deadlift: 330x5

Current Macros (p/c/f): 280/400/150, ~4100cal (roughly as averaged by mfp entries)

I'm probably in the closing phase of my novice LP and I suspect I've exhausted the novice possibilities for productive bodyweight gain. Is it necessary for me to be eating this much at this point? Could I reign in the carbs/fats at this point and not hurt the rest of my LP? Ideally I'd like to lean out a touch to make some room in the thighs of my pants (I've been losing leg hair by the clumpful).

I'd maintain current intake until LP and advanced Novice are done. Plenty of time to lean out later, not a lot of time for rapid strength improvements, however.

Perfect. I'll keep full steam ahead in that case.

Once LP/advanced novice is over should I:

    1) Switch my macros over to something like 220/500/100 (per 'To Be A Beast') and start titrating down carbs and fat by 10g and 5g per week, or

    2) Keep it at 280/400/150 and do the dialing down carbs/fat 10/5 from there, or

    3) Something else?

Figure I'd ask now instead of blow up your forum later down the line.

#2 but drop the protein to ~250g/day.

How old is Chad? What about for a 51 y/o similarly situated, but smaller with lower weight numbers?

My recommendation for the protein would stand for the 51 yo.
