Extreme Stretching?
I was reading about Doggcrapp training the other day, and while I'm not interested in the actual training, one aspect of it did interest me. Supposedly, the people who have success with the routine are the one's who follow the "extreme stretching" guidelines. From what I understand, you stretch to the point of excruciating pain (sometimes with resistance) and hold for 60 seconds after working each muscle. This is supposed to trigger hyperplasia and lead to greater muscle growth.
Here are the stretches, if you care to see: http://www.worldclassbodybuilding.co...stretches.html
Would there be any harm in adding these to a novice program, assuming I am doing all stretching at the end of the workout? They're supposed to help with recovery as well, but some look like they could possible be physically taxing. Thought I'd try it out for shits and giggles, at the very least.

I don't see anything particularly extreme about these stretches. But you have my permission to try them.
