    Default Deadlift check (305 lb)

(Note for moderator: I posted a similar check with a slightly lighter weight about eighteen days ago, but it didn't get through the moderation queue, even though my later posts did. If it's still in the queue, please excuse the duplicate.)

I'm losing back extension on reps 4 (a bit) and 5 (a bit more). Despite taking some time to squoze and set my back after each rep.

    (i) How do I fix this? And
(ii) Is everything else okay? Am I shifting onto my heels, extending the hip before the knee, etc?

Incidentally, my deadlift is lagging my squat now because I keep rounding my back and repeating weights. 305 doesn't feel very heavy to pull off the floor, I just end up rounding my back.

Those deads looked pretty good to me. Just a hint of unlocking on rep 5, but nothing worrisome. Keep going up, I say.

    Got it, Tom. Thanks.

(I actually failed the next weight (310 lb), but I think it was a recovery/food issue. I got it today, but with the same slight unlocking on rep 5.)
