The cats over at Rogue impress me in lots of ways. They put together this documentary on the culture behind stone lifting in Scotland. It is beautifully filmed, well paced, and is, in general, imminently enjoyable.

I saw that link for Stoneland on the youtube sidebar last night while I was watching the 2016 World's Strongest Man Final. I'll have to check it out now. I've gone to the San Antonio Highland Games to watch a couple times. Good times!

Yeah, those fuckers know how to shoot. I would really enjoy a 10 to 15 minute narrated documentary on the process by which barbells are made.

I took a trip to Singen, Germany once to visit a vendor. They smelted and worked aluminum there. Watched the whole process where they roll-formed a probably 5'x5'x15' aluminum ingot through various machines in a 2 mile-long line all the way down in thickness into the 0.00015 aluminum film that goes on the inside of potato chip bags.

    Pretty cool.

Rogue is starting to produce a lot of good material. They have "The Road to the Arnold" series going on right now.
