    Default Patella Tendonitis Query

    Hi Coaches

I had (self diagnosed) patella tendonitis for about a month. Trained through it, managing to squat when I could. Sometimes it would be too painful and I'd have to stop, sometimes bearable enough to complete a workout.

Pain was when I walked, doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, walking up and down stairs and driving.

Squatted a couple of days ago. Felt the pain, decided to try adjusting my foot position and turned my toes in a little more, with less knees out than normal.

As the session progressed the pain got less. Went up to 192.5kg x 5 and left it.

After the session, my knee didn't hurt at all. It hasn't hurt since.

I'd be very interested to read any thoughts on this. I searched the forum for suggestions a couple weeks ago, and read that Campitelli's Tendonitis just went away on its own.

I was very struck though, by how the pain lessened WHILST training and now the pain has completely gone.

    Sorry for rambling.

Interesting. Tendinitis is very tricky thing. I have no answers.

I was hoping you were about to say, "I rubbed some Açaí on it and poof! pain gone."

Send some of that ju-ju my way, if you can :-)

Thank you for responding. I'll file it under "da fuck?"

Yeah, provided you weren't overdoing the toes out before, this is somewhat unusual. However, it may be worth keeping in mind for other peeps.
