    Thanks Lou.

I was just going to lp them for as long as i can for now and see how far i can go. The 22lb was like a tester session and went well.

When I first starting using weighted dips, I saw i was able to add 2.5lbs a week. There should be a large capacity for you so I wouldn't expect you having an issue, especially since your bench numbers are good.
As an example, I have now surpassed the total weight I use for dips than I bench( dips 107.5 + bw 160 = 267.5 for 3 x 5, bench @ 260 1rm) I suspect though that gains will become more difficult as I approach higher % of bw.

Im after sneaking over the 200lb mark too. Some conditioning is in my future for sure! I should be nearer the 180lb range.

Thats good to know thanks Lou.

    13/8/15

    Bench 242 x 1 / 1 / 1 / 1
    Deadlift 308 x 1 / 1 / 1

    Dips +27.5 x 5 / 5 / 5

Did not feel good benching today. Set up was not strong and I felt bone sore. Some good eating and sleep and il be back to normal for Saturday morning im sure.
Deadlift ok. Improved power in the last single.
Dips were good. The low barbell work attributed more to that than anyrhing else.

Rest up and hit it hard Saturday.

    No prob Lou.
Just some singles across at a lower intensity with both lifts today to have me fresh for testing Saturday.

I proceeded to do dips as normal. Didnt feel a need to ease back here since im only getting into properly now.

I thought you meant that that low bar work attributed to your dips today.

Oh like an actual lower bar, no no.
Just a lower amount of work during the session.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I cant see your video on my phone but I will have a look later from the computer.

    BW - 201.3

    Squat
    308 x 1 , 330 x 1 PR , 352 x F

    Bench
    258.5 x 1 PR , 269.5 x F , 264 x 1 PR

    Deadlift
    352 x 1 , 374 x 1 PR , 396 x 1 PR

Very happy with the test day especially because I finished with a 4 plate deadlift!

Squat - went well. Solid pr and im confident I would have got 341. A bit greedy going for 352. It planted me! Not a nice feeling and it hurt my hip.

Bench - a bit dissapointing really. Form or grove just wasnt on. Even 220 felt very heavy. I only felt a bit better when I was at testing weights but even then, just not quite right. 264 was bum up but I think it would have been cleaner if I hadnt gone up and failed 269.5 beforehand.

Deadlift - ecstatic! Just went really well. Ive improved my power from the floor alot and I really couldn't be happier with how these went.

2 weeks off now. Tonsils coming out. Relax and recover the first week and then make a plan the 2nd week off for the next training cycle up to Christmas.

Conditioning is on the cards for sure! Carrying a bit too much timber these days.
