    Pulls felt good today. I was slightly intimidated by the 405 pull because I have not pulled over 400 for a while. I planned for a single but it moved so fast I decided to go for the double.

    My form was all over the place. Started out on a really low bench that I don't usually use. Then switched to a different bench and the first rep got way out towards my belly and I barely was able to muscle it up. Last 2 reps of that set were ok. Had trouble keeping my ass down on all sets.

    Sets @ 230 and 225 were better technique wise but I'm not sure if its because I found the groove or because the weighs were lighter.

    Back after a bit of a layoff. Not sure what happened. Work has been super busy and its finally warm up here so been out doing stuff. Also planning to move in the next month or two. Summer is not conducive to making gains.

    I was kind of dreading my first squat workout and originally planned on doing bench and maybe deadlifts today but said fuck it and hit the squats.
    They moved good and didn't feel that bad. Capped the volume at 3x3 since I have not squatted in almost a month.

    I think I like hammer curls. I have been doing curls on the ez bar before today but im going to stick with hammer curls. I get better ROM with them less cheating and it is better on my wrists.

    I really thing lifting acts as an anti depressant. My mental landscape has been shit during my layoff. I feel so much better when in training.

    Surprised myself on topset. Rep 6 was ugly but I got it. Have not benched for a few weeks bit surprisingly have not lost much on it. Everything felt heavy though.

    Worst deadlift form ever. Every rep felt out of sync. I think I forgot how to lock my back. Need more practice.

    I think a 10lb jump was too aggressive. In a hurry to get back to where I was.
    Also have not taken any creatine for over a week. I wonder if that could have had anything to do with gassing out after 3 reps. Maybe that combined with a bit of detraining.

    I think my bench form is off. I used stupid low bench today and couldn't keep my ass down. Also I think I contact bar too low on chest. Im hitting below my sternum on some reps.

    I hit the hooks on a rep today that either repositioned the bar or I slid but it ended up putting the bar way higher than usual and turned a grinder rep into an easy one. Perhaps I need to experiment with bar contact position.

    Squat

    315 3x3 @harder than I would have liked.

    Squat is in full on maintenance/survival mode. I will be happy if I don't lose anything on the squat or maybe make some small gains this summer. Last summer I just quit going to gym at all. Im not doing that this time.

    Well looks like I won't be lifting for a while. Broke a bone in my foot. Possible torn tendon as well. Have to see what ortho says tomo.
    I will be back lifting as soon as I am healed. Probably do some upper body stuff when I can. Hopefully soon.
