    29/05/2017 - Post Bank Holiday Lethargy

    Bench 105kg 5x5

    Press 56.5kg 3x8 Raised the bar a little, to just under my chin. Seemed to bounce better.

    LTE 50kg 6,6,7

    Note

    I'm taking a week off from squats to let my back clear up a bit. In the meantime, I need to identify why I consistently get the bar in an off centre position, and find a solution.

    Power Cleans 85kg 5x3 I racked about 90-95% of them well. I supposed I could LP from here, for a bit.

    31/05/2017 - Some positives

    Bench 122.5kg PR 3 singles from 4 attempts. Not overly surprised not to get 5, so happy with a PR for weight.

    Press 77.5kg 1,2,1,1 Played about with breathing etc. Some felt bouncy.

    Dips +8.25kg 6,5,6

    Note

    Did some squats with the empty bar using the squat rack in front of the mirror. Noticed I could use the mirror to check the bar markings for bar symmetry on the back. Could be useful.

    5 days off now, half term break. Back to squats and deadlifts next week.

    06/06/2017 - Hard to say

    Squat 167.5kg 5x5 In front of a mirror so I could check bar symmetry. A friend identified an uneven stance. Noticed when setting up, my hair gets trapped between the bar and my back. Narrowed my stance a lot, and used a strap as a marker on the floor to help get heels symmetrical. Might bring some masking tape to the gym. Performance wise. Don't know.

    09/06/2017 - Back to reality

    Back hurts. Wife helped with squats. I can't seem to control my left knee. Keeps caving in. Deload and a rethink. Shame, a 2 month lay off is planned for July August.

    - Technical practice - Just singles - When doing snatches, might work up to a heavy single clean, then back down again...worked today

    Squat 120kg - 150kg Sets of 5. Much narrower stance. Hard to say if an improvement. First set showed knee jabbing forward, so TUBOW for the rest.
