JFick, I was thinking about what you said weeks ago when I decided to throw another 10 on those benches. Given how far I had regressed (so quickly), it felt really good to hit a PR on something.
Pulled an all-nighter caregiving late last week and ended up getting sick. Made myself lift today...but I quit after missed deadlift reps.

L Squat: 245 lbs - 5, 275 lbs - 7, 5 - spaced on the 2nd set and ended up doing 7
H Deadlift: 405 lbs - singles - 1, 0, 0 - first one was ugly, 2nd went up but was so ugly I quit, 3rd was a no-go. All beltless but with straps.
Called it the day. Meeting cousins at the pub, and feeling like a wuss anyway.
Missed Reps: I hate them. I still remember missing 380 lbs squat months ago; that's still in my head.
I read that Coan purposefully never missed reps. I think I know why: it gets in your head that you can just put the bar down if it's "too heavy". I think it's better to not get under the bar unless you are committed to a serious fight.

Ski season pretty much over, so that pressure is off. Starting creatine today and pushing for 220 lbs weight.
