    Meh, bench was sliding a little on first set & couldn't get good leg drive, thoroughly toasting everything getting rep 3 up. Added a back off set to keep more work in there.

    Kid trained, sq/bp/pc, 205/155/85. Moved him to power clean every other with deadlift as he looked about out of gas for dl last time. He even said he was feeling worn out since mon. We probably could have gone heavier on pc, but it should increase well enough from here.

    Eh, fuck it I was tired. And btw, for anyone who's seen Niki Sims' IG with the comment about the earl grey handoff, and watched the accompanying video, that is a BAD thing to remember at the start of a hard set of bench when you're tired but have already done 1 rep. VERY. BAD. Just saying..

    Oh yeah, kid workout yesterday was sq/ohp/dl, 210/80/255. The pc day definitely helped, with the break from dl every session, and his weight is up to 180.

    Still fairly easy as far as everything but the back is concerned. Back's been extra bitchy the past few days so skipped yesterday. Bonus was I lifted with my kid today, and we happened to be at the same squat weight which was convenient. Of course, the bar was BW -27lbs for me and BW +36lbs for him, so I suppose he wins today.

    255x1 belt - back was just a little twitchy here
    285x0 belt - got it about 4" off the floor and the back started to hurt, so I bailed
    265x2 belt - went up ok and in retrospect the back only hurt a tiny bit, but I was mentally checked out for risking it so I stopped.

    Haven't done these for a while it seems, but these were easy & I got my chin higher above the bar than usual. Cool.

    Almost forgot, kid did sq/bp/pc of 215/160/95. He gets dizzy with the power clean, I don't know if that's a problem or just something his inner ear needs to sort out over time.

Milestone for him, me just working on my back as I can manage to keep things going. Maybe I can get my squat back up above my bench press in a couple weeks ha ha.

    New approach - don't go beyond a small amount of back pain, and do some backoffs with no pain to get some work in. We'll see how this feels the next couple days.

    Kid did sq/bp/pc, 225/165/105, and did it well, his best lifting of the week. And, his weight is up to 182 which makes for +15 since he started. Cool.

    Skipped yesterday, had some playtime instead. Working up to 1RMs for the presses this week. I'm planning to start one of Andy Baker's HLM programs next week due to not having the brainpower to work out my own programming just now. That'll be for the presses while I'm still rehabbing the back up with lp style squats & pulls as I can manage. The hope/plan is that they'll get back up to decent numbers and then transition into the hlm scheme.
