After a few days off for a family reunion, it was back to the gym tonight. Tough workout, but good.

    Squat: 385x5,5,5
    Press: 155x5,5,4
    Deadlift: 420x1

Squat felt great. Weight moved fast. Have a video to post.

Press was heavy. Tried to do a thumb around the bar grip in preparation for the strengthlifting meet this fall and it threw me off. Had the bar travel forward on the last rep of my last attempt, and I think this is the only reason I missed it. Form video on this one, too.

Deadlift we're hard. I only had enough gas for a single. Back off beltless at 405 for a triple.

I missed Wednesday night's workout, so we did Thursday morning at 5:00. Morning workouts feel terrible, and I always run out of time, but sometimes they have to happen.

    Squat: 390x5,5,5
    Bench: 235x5,5,5
    Power clean: 185x0,0,0,0,0

We ran out of time to do power cleans, so I will complete that weight next time. Still progressing linearly, feels like it's coming to a close on the presses.

390 squat for sets. That's strong. Damn.

Good workout, but hot. About 90degF in the garage. Terrible sleep mixed with low calories the day before lead to a big goose egg on overhead press. I believe my press has reached it's linearly progressive end at 5lbs/workout. I will try to eat big and hit the weight again, but I have a feeling I'll be switching to 2.5lb increments soon.

    BW: 249

    Squat: 395x5,5,5
    Press: 155x0,0
    Deadlift: 425x3

Hook grip slipped on the deadlift. I was so sick of being stuck at 420. I took my belt off this time and tried not to let my hips drop. Even left my shoes on. I'll post the video on here for a form check, soon.

Thanks PizzaDad, these weights are getting heavy. Are you going to a fall classic event this fall?

It was my wife's birthday today, so workout got rushed in order to make it to dinner in time.

    BW: 249

    Squat: 400x5,4,5
    Bench: 240x3,5,4
    Power clean: 185x0

Squat felt heavy, but moved well. After standing up from the fourth rep of the second set I felt a pop in my left ribs below my heart, followed by pain. Scared me, so I racked it. Decided to hit the third set after resting about 5 minutes and everything felt fine. I'll move up in weight.

Bench was awful. I didn't get tight enough my first set, and missed the fourth rep. I stayed tight and hit the second set easy. The third set was going well until I exhaled in the middle of the fifth rep like a dunce. I will repeat this weight.

No time for power cleans, unfortunately.

    I'll get it next time.

Squats are sucking all the energy from my other lifts. It already takes close to an hour for my brother and me to warmup and hit our work sets. I feel a switch to TM or a similar program in our near future.

    BW: 249

    Squat: 405x5,5,5
    Press: 155x1,0,0
    Deadlift: 420x0

Squats are still moving but I am dead afterwards. I was hoping to have linear progression move at least another couple of weeks, but at least I'm getting stronger.

My brother tore his left trapezius so we wimped out and took a de-load week.

I don't remember the numbers we've done, but the percentages were 50,75,80, and tonight we did 85.

    Squat: 345x5,5,5
    Press: 135x5,5,5
    Deadlift: 355x5

We are hoping to continue the novice progression for a little bit longer, but I'm sure we will transition to an intermediate program before the end of the year.

Still hitting percentages hoping to get back to LP.

    90% tonight.

    Squat: 365x5,5,5
    Bench: 235x5,5,5
    Power Clean: 185x3,3,3,3,3

Bench was tough. I hit 4,5,4 and then added another set of two to get the volume.

Last session with percentages. We should be back on LP next time.

    95% tonight.

    Squat: 385x5,5,5
    Press: 140x5,5,5
    Deadlift: 405x5

The squat felt very heavy, but still moved. Press was heavy, but moved faster than 135, so that's awesome. Deadlift was the easiest it's felt in quite a long time. Weight almost sprang up. Excited to get my deadlift to 500.
