Squat Form Check - 170kg/375lbs
Hi All,
Would really appreciate your feedback on my squat form. This was from my last working set of 3 reps @80%

Thanks

Don't lift your head - it's hurting your hip drive. Also, watch your knees at the bottom. You're getting a little loose and bouncing your hamstrings off your calves. You want a bounce, but it should be the elastic bounce of tight muscles, not an impact bounce. Otherwise, pretty good.

Thanks appreciate that. I think I get to concerned with making sure I hit depth. I compete in powerlifting, and my next meet is in 12 weeks time but will be the first time using the Starting Strength style squat. My eye gaze does keep looking down, but I see what you mean about the head still coming up.

Film every set and watch them between sets. It will help you cirrect things while you still remember and sort of feel what you were doing. It's not as good as a live coaching session, but it sure can help.

Yeah I do film every set anyway. I would love live coaching, but haven't been able to find a starting strength coach in the UK
Again, thank you for your help
