Dearly Beloved hails from Sycamore on IL-38. I always loved the slow drive over the Fox River in St. Charles with the bronze foxes on the bridge piers. I paddled it once from Yorkville to Sheridan Road for a very great float with riverside cliffs I could never have imagined would be there.

Built a waterwheel in my shop for power generation. At 7.5 kilowatts it will supply my needs and put some power back into the grid for profit. Will be installing it on the river behind my house over the next month, but first I have to pour the foundation.

The propane tanks and torches are for stress relieving the aluminum on the water wheel which I still have to do.

That's awesome! The state won't get in your way on a think like this?

Took over two years to get all the permits. That was the hardest part of the whole enterprise. I'm in British Columbia Canada too. It may be easier or harder to do this in the states.

I can still paddle out and catch a few waves. I can ride up to the ridge above my house on my mountain bike in about an hour. I can still go skiing with the grandkids and even hit the double diamond for a few runs. None of this would be possible w/o lifting!

Train up for a powerlifting meet. I competed in one back in April and plan on entering a couple next year. I now workout in the gym with specific goals and numbers vs. just getting in the reps.
