In a well-programmed set of 5, it's about the third hardest rep.
Because every rep in Press 2.0 uses the same technique and starts from a dead stop. So each rep should be harder than the one before it.

I start each of my strict press reps by pulling the bar down a tiny bit, then I press up. Little baby stretch reflex.

I can't press 2.0. I like stretch reflex and enjoy pressing. I've seen 6 guys, two girls consistently pressing at my globo gym. One guy was hitting 275 for triples the other week. Another just did bodyweight 5x5

One of the greatest things I've ever seen:

Yo that guy basically did the "technique" without using a power rack. @6s

That guy is Ken Patera. I would have loved to see him and Don Reinhoudt go head to head.

...oh I think big mistake doing seated. If you've ever done at strict set of five to RPE 9.99, your gassed! The standing press involves a lot of core muscles and shit where sitting or lying down (bench) does not....but most lifters egos get in they way, and they chase weight, so see your point tho

Totally agree...second rep is usually the easiest.

If you try a strict press 1RM ... well god help you is all I can say
