    Not a smart-ass question, but sincere: If one can SLDL 405# for a set of 10 reps, what makes this less dangerous than deadlifting 405 for 10 reps. ie at the same weight and rep level, what makes RDL and SLDLs more safe?

    I've done an few sets of 500+ for 10. I don't think the injury risk is that high, but I don't think they are a good way to train for anything either. 6's are about as high as I'll go for a regular deadlift. I've programmed 10's for rack pulls, rdls, sldl's, etc

    Watch Klokov Oly lift...he sits in the bottom position for about 5 days, so I semi-seriously wonder if it's just something he likes to do.
